Epic was able to bring to the table thousands of miniature and the massive engine of destruction of the Adeptus Titanicus (and their alien counterparts of course). Set in the dark grim future of Warhammer 40K, Epic allowed the player to stage massive exploited 6-8mm miniatures and a streamlined battle system. Warhammer Epic was a very successful Games Workshop's game line in the '90s that was progressively abandoned for other game systems. And that's exactly why, just a few days after releasing the new “Leviathan” core set and updated rules, Games Workshop has double down by announcing the long awaited return of the Epic scale and the upcoming release of “Warhammer: The Horus Heresy – Legions Imperialis”.
